In early September 2018, I headed down to San Diego where I boarded a bus along with about 20 other divers down to Ensenada, Mexico via Tijuana. There we boarded the Nautilus Explorer for a 24 hour boat ride out to Guadalupe Island.
Guadalupe Island or Isla Guadalupe is a volcanic island located 241 kilometres off the west coast of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula and some 400 kilometres southwest of the city of Ensenada in the state of Baja California, in the Pacific Ocean.
For 3 days, we encountered several Great White Sharks within the protection of a metal cage. What an exhilarating experience!!
